Bismuxil® is an antidiarrheal, cytoprotective and intestinal antisecretory, indicated in the non-specific treatment of gastroenteritis. It inhibits prostaglandin-mediated inflammation, induced secretion and abnormal motility. Protects the gastrointestinal mucosa by decreasing peristalsis, with antibacterial effect. Forms a protective coating by stimulating mucus production.
