Glucose Serum®

Every 100 mL contains:

Dextrose (D-glucose).................. 50g

Sodium Chloride............4.75g

Potassium Chloride..................0.25g

Vehicle qs ......................100 mL

Glucose Serum®Helpful as modifier of the water exchange and regulation of the osmotic pressure. It is recommended for the pathological conditions that require the simultaneous administration of electrolytes and glucose. It is also indicated for the auxiliary treatment of hypoglycemia (acetonemia), milk fever, as well as convalescences and septicemic infections and any condition that requires contribution of carbohydrates as source of transitory energy and electrolytes.

Cows and equines:250 to 500 mL.
Sheep and pigs:1 mL per kg of body weight.

Intravenous and intraperitoneal. Administer at body temperature
The treatment can be repeated until re-establishing the physical condition of the animal.
